A third man has been charged in the death of 18-year-old Joedin Leger of Moncton.
On June 16, 2022, 23-year-old Jerek John England was arrested in Moncton in connection with the investigation. On June 17, he appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with first degree murder.
The other two people charged with first degree murder in connection with Joedin Leger's death are 18-year-old Riley Robert Sheldon Philips, and 20-year-old Hunter Nash England, both of the Moncton area.
All three accused are remanded in custody. They are all scheduled to return to court on June 27 at 11 a.m.
The charges stem from an incident on April 25, 2022 at a home on Logan Lane in Moncton. Police responded to a report of shots fired, and found 18-year-old Joedin Leger suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died of his injuries.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone who may have information regarding this matter is asked to contact the RCMP MCU or Crimestoppers.
