Sixty-three-year-old Steven Miller of Ontario was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking controlled substances by RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on June 13, 2024.

On the afternoon of June 13, an officer with RCMP NL's General Investigation Section observed a vehicle parked in an overgrown empty parking lot in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Police approached the driver, Steven Miller, and determined that he was wanted in Ontario for failing to attend court in relation to charges of possession of the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance. RCMP Police Dog Services attended the scene and gathered evidence that led to Miller's arrest.

Following Miller's arrest, officers located quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as further evidence consistent with drug trafficking.

Miller attended court on Friday and was remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled to take place on June 27, 2024.
