Swift Current STRT: male charged after more than 650 grams of illicit drugs seized during search warrants

On August 29, 2024, Saskatchewan RCMP's Swift Current Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) and Swift Current City RCMP executed two search warrants in Swift Current as part of an ongoing investigation.

One search warrant was executed at a business on North Service Road. The other was at a residence on Robert Street East.

Officers located and seized:

  • 503 grams of methamphetamine;
  • 52 grams of fentanyl;
  • 105 grams of cocaine;
  • trafficking paraphernalia; and
  • a sum of cash.

An adult male was arrested at the business, where he was a patron. As a result of continued investigation, 30-year-old Daljeet Singh from Swift Current is charged with:

  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl), Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine), Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
  • one count, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code.

He is scheduled to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on September 3, 2024.
