Update: Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes determine sudden death in Canora non-suspicious

As a result of continued investigation by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, it has been determined that the death of a 32-year-old male from Canora appears non-suspicious in nature.

As the investigation has now determined that this is a sudden death, no further updates or information can be provided.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes investigating suspicious death in Canora

2024-06-26

On June 26, 2024 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Canora RCMP received a report of an injured male at a residence in Canora.

Officers immediately responded and located the injured male. The 32-year-old male from Canora was pronounced deceased by EMS on scene. His next of kin has been notified and victim services has been offered to them.

At this time, the male's death is considered suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken carriage of the ongoing investigation.

We are unable to provide additional information about this investigation at this time. Updates will be provided when available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public.
