RCMP seize meth, heroin and replica guns.

November 6, 2024, Margate PE - East Prince RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on November 5, 2024 in Margate, PE. Police seized approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine and approximately 19 grams of heroin as well as replica pistols and a pellet gun. The methamphetamine represents 112-560 doses and the quantity of heroin is 190 doses.

A 38-year-old Prince Edward Island man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking. This matter is still under investigation and charges are expected.

This Prince District RCMP Investigation was assisted by the RCMP Provincial General Investigations Section (GIS) and the Prince District Joint Forces Operations (JFO) Drug Unit, a stand-alone unit comprised of members of the Prince District RCMP, Summerside Police Services, and Kensington Police Services.

"This is a significant seizure of dangerous drugs, and it is an example of how working together with our policing partners, significant results are achieved.
