The Southeast District RCMP is asking for the public's help to locate three individuals and a vehicle involved with an Alert Ready incident on September 16, 2024.
At approximately 7 p.m., on September 16, 2024, Caledonia Region RCMP members were dispatched to a report of a shooting incident on Main Street in Salisbury. When police arrived, they located a 48-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to hospital with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Upon further investigation, and in the interest of public safety, the New Brunswick RCMP issued an Alert Ready message at 8:15 p.m.
Later the same evening, two youths were located and arrested without incident in connection with the investigation on Grub Road in Salisbury, N.B. One individual was released from custody on strict conditions and one was remanded into custody on unrelated matters.
Police are now asking for assistance from the public to locate additional individuals who are believed to be involved in the incident.
The individuals are:
- an 18-year-old man, from Blissville, N.B.
- an 18-year-old woman, from Moncton, N.B.
- a second female who is a youth and cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
They are believed to be accompanied by another female youth. If you see them, please call 911 immediately and do not approach them.
Police also continue to search for a silver 2023 Ford F150 pickup truck, covered in mud, with possible Nova Scotia licence plate HDC 958.
