PEI RCMP stop12 impaired drivers this week, 2 yesterday
Yesterday at 8:00 p.m. RCMP received a 911 call reporting an erratic driver in Newton PEI. Prince District RCMP located the driver in Kinkora and arrested a 61-year-old man for impaired driving by alcohol. The Ontario man provided breath samples 2.5 times the legal limit.
In a separate incident, yesterday at 12:09 p.m. RCMP Traffic Services were conducting a checkpoint in Stanchel when a vehicle came through with the smell of fresh burnt cannabis coming from within it. A 41-year-old Kinkora woman failed a roadside test and was given a blood demand.
