Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit investigating suspicious deaths

The Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit (NEN MCU) is investigating two suspicious deaths that occurred in Windsor.

On September 3 at approximately 7:15 p.m., West Hants RCMP responded to a request to check on the wellbeing of two people at a home on King St. in Windsor. Responding officers found the two men deceased in the residence. The deaths are being treated as suspicious.

The men, age 73 and 40, were both from Windsor and were known to each other.

The ongoing investigation is lead by NEN MCU and supported by West Hants RCMP detachment, Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crimes Unit, Nova Scotia RCMP Forensic Identification Services (FIS), and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service. There is no evidence at this time to suggest any risk to the public.

The investigation is in the initial stages and no further information will be released at this time.

Our thoughts are with the deceased's families at this difficult time.
