Kings District RCMP charge two people with drug offences

Kings District RCMP has charged two people with drug offences after a search warrant was executed at a home in New Minas.

On January 26, 2024, Kings District RCMP, assisted by the RCMP Emergency Response Team, RCMP Police Dog Service and Kentville Police General Investigation Section, executed a search warrant at a home on Highland Crt, in relation to an ongoing drugs investigation that began earlier this year.

At the home, police safely arrested two women then located and seized cocaine, mushrooms, scales, cellphones and ammunitions.

April Schofield, 34, from New Minas and Amanda Cleveland, 41, from Kentville have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Both women were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on March 26, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
