Digby RCMP investigating serious crash

Digby RCMP is investigating a serious crash that occurred in Brighton.

On August 4, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Digby RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 101.

The initial investigation indicates that an eastbound Toyota Corolla went off the road, struck an embankment and a utility pole, and then rolled several times.

All four occupants of the vehicle, including the 61-year-old driver from Timberlea, were taken to hospital by EHS. An 85-year-old passenger from Digby was transported by EHS LifeFlight.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Hwy. 101 was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
