On September 8, 2024, Saskatchewan RCMP's North Battleford Crime Reduction Team (CRT) officers observed a male breaching court-ordered conditions in North Battleford. He was arrested. During his arrest, officers located and seized 258 grams of methamphetamine, a conducted energy weapon and a sum of cash.
As a result of continued investigation, North Battleford CRT and Battleford RCMP's Gang Task Force (GTF) executed a search warrant at a residence on 104 Street in North Battleford.
Officers located and seized three improvised firearms, illegal cigarettes, a sum of cash and an e-bike that had previously been reported as stolen. A photo of the items is attached.
As a result of continued investigation, 44-year-old Allan Strong from North Battleford is charged with:
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- one count, careless use/storage of a firearm, Section 86(1), Criminal Code;
- two counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
- two counts, carrying a concealed weapon, Section 90(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, Section 92(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of prohibited weapon when knowing possession unauthorized, Section 92(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, Section 95(1), Criminal Code;
- twelve counts, weapons possession contrary to order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code;
- twelve counts, fail to comply with release order, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code; and
- ne count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code.
46-year-old Darlene Arnold from North Battleford is charged with:
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code; and
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
