RCMP East District GIS executes search warrant at residence in Clarenville and seizes drugs, a cross bow and cash

Two individuals, 44-year-old Richard Foss and 36-year-old Marie Strong, were arrested and charged in relation to a search warrant executed at a residence in Clarenville yesterday by RCMP East District General Investigation Section (GIS) and Clarenville RCMP.

Inside the Gregory Street home, officers located and seized the following items:

  • Cocaine
  • Crack cocaine
  • Oxycodone pills
  • Various items consistent with drug trafficking
  • Cash
  • A crossbow
  • Arrows
  • Shotgun rounds
  • An imitation hand gun

Following their arrests, Foss and Strong were held in police custody overnight.

Foss is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone, two counts of possession contrary to firearm prohibition order (crossbow and ammunition) and three counts of breaching conditions of a court release order.

Strong is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone.

Both appear in court today. The investigation is continuing.
