As a result of continued investigation by Pelican Narrows RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP's General Investigation Section, a 23-year-old male was arrested in Pelican Narrows on December 14, 2023.
23-year-old Coltin Ballantyne from Pelican Narrows is charged with:
- two counts, aggravated assault, Section 268(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a restricted/prohibited weapon with ammunition, Section 95(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon, Section 91(3), Criminal Code;
- two counts, discharge firearm with intent, Section 244, Criminal Code;
- two counts, pointing a firearm, Section 87(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, use a firearm in the commission of an offence, Section 85(3), Criminal Code.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Pelican Narrows on December 18, 2023.
The female previously taken into custody has been released without charge.
