The Codiac Regional RCMP is proud to announce the opening of their new satellite location at 795 Main Street in Moncton, N.B.
This satellite office adds much needed space for the growing police force that serves the population of Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview, and is occupied by the Codiac Regional RCMP's Community Policing Unit, which will allow the team to continue their important work in the community.
''We are glad to have a police force that has grown and will continue to grow in the future, and being able to give our employees a space that fits their needs was important to us in Codiac," says Supt. Benoit Jolette, Officer in Charge of the Codiac Regional RCMP. "The fact that we now have police officers at the heart of Main Street is an additional advantage as it increases visibility and allows proximity for downtown patrols.''
Although there will be police officers and team members working from this location, it is not a point of service and is not open to the public. Employees will be in and out of this office space daily as the important work they do is done throughout the communities. Residents are asked to continue to visit the Detachment located at 520 Main Street for assistance.
