As a result of significant, ongoing investigation, on October 11, 2023, Cory Lafleur was arrested by the Saskatchewan RCMP's Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) at a residence in Prince Albert.
He appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court October 12 with a next appearance on October 19 at 10:00 a.m.
WEST targets high-profile offenders who are a significant threat to public safety, such as gang members and violent offenders with outstanding warrants. The RCMP operates one WEST team out of Saskatoon and Meadow Lake and another out of Prince Albert. WEST is one team under SERT, the Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams.

Beauval RCMP asks public to report sightings of Cory Lafleur

On September 3, 2023 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Beauval RCMP received reports of a firearm discharge in Beauval.
Initial investigation determined that a firearm was discharged at an adult female, who was in a vehicle. The female did not report any physical injuries to police. The suspects fled in a black SUV.
Beauval RCMP began patrols to locate the SUV and suspects. Meadow Lake RCMP later located the black SUV at a residence on Flying Dust First Nation.
As a result of continued investigation, 23-year-old Cory Lafleur from Beauval is charged with offences including:
- one count, uttering threats, Section 264.1(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, discharge a firearm with intent, Section 244, Criminal Code;
- one count, use a firearm without reasonable precaution for the safety of other persons, Section 86(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, carry a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88, Criminal Code; and
- three counts, unlicensed possession of a firearm, Section 92(1), Criminal Code.
A warrant has been issued for Cory Lafleur's arrest and Beauval RCMP is working to locate him.
Cory LaFleur is described as approximately 5'11" and 200 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Cory Lafleur may have travelled to Meadow Lake, Prince Albert or Saskatoon, but this can't be confirmed.
