47-year-old man dies following two-vehicle collision

A 47-year-old man from Edmundston, N.B., has died following a two-vehicle collision in Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska, N.B.

On July 30, 2023, at approximately 4:05 p.m., members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP detachment responded to a report of two-vehicle collision between a pickup truck and a dirtbike on Deuxieme Sault Road in Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska. The driver and sole occupant of the dirtbike was transported to hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. The passenger of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries, and the driver was uninjured.

Members of the Edmundston Police Force, Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist also attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
