Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes have laid charges against a fourth person in relation to the death of Cody Tait.

Dana Morningchild from Saskatoon was arrested in Saskatoon on April 5 and is charged with one count, second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code.

He appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on April 7, 2022. His next appearance will be in Saskatoon on April 28, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.

On April 1, 2022, as a result of continued investigation, the Saskatchewan RCMP's Major Crime Unit arrested two additional individuals in connection to the suspicious death of Cody Tait.

Scotty Jimmy of North Battleford, SK and Allison Bear of Saskatoon, SK are both charged with one count, second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code.

They will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on April 4, 2022.

As result of investigation, Robbie Cameron of Saskatoon, SK was arrested on March 29 and charged with one count, second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code.

He was remanded to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on March 30, 2022.

The victim can now be identified as 22-year-old Cody Tait of Saskatoon.

On March 27, 2022 at approximately 5:50 p.m., Rosthern RCMP received a report of a shooting on Beardy's and Okemasis' Cree Nation.

Officers located an injured male on a road in the community. Despite life-saving efforts, the male was later pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 22-year-old male from Saskatoon and his family has been notified. We will not be releasing his name at this time.

Saskatchewan RCMP's Major Crime Unit is now investigating and there will be an increased police presence in the community. There is no known threat to public safety.
