The RCMP in Nova Scotia has been receiving questions about donations for the family Cst. Deschênes.
The RCMP Foundation has agreed to assist with donations on behalf of Cst. Deschênes' family. If you would like to donate to the family please visit the Foundation Web site at http://rcmp-f.ca/.
The home page shows "Donate Here". By scrolling to the bottom of the page, you will find "Dedicate this Donation" box and should select "Give in honour or in memory of someone special." A pop up box will appear and type in Cst. Francis Deschênes. You can then continue completing the donation form. Please note that if you want to donate to the family, you must specify your wishes in the pop up box; otherwise the funds go to the organization for donations across the country.
