Digby RCMP charges two people for drug trafficking

Digby RCMP has charged two people after executing a search warrant at a residence in Mount Pleasant.

The Digby RCMP recently began an investigation into the possible sale of illicit drugs from a residence on Culloden Rd.

On March 12, RCMP officers arrested a man and woman in relation to this investigation, and then executed a search warrant at the residence with the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services. During the search, officers seized:

  • Crack cocaine
  • Hydromorphone and other prescription pills
  • Cash
  • Cellular phones
  • Weapons and imitation firearms
  • Scales and other drug trafficking paraphernalia
  • A stolen snowmobile

Daniel Maas, 39, and Jennifer Ramsay, 33, both of Mount Pleasant, have been charged with multiple counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Maas also faces charges of Failing to Comply with a Release Order, Uttering Threats, Mischief, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Maas was held in custody for a court appearance today, and Ramsay was released from custody to attend Digby Provincial Court on June 2.
