Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP is investigating damage of a local business, Butterfly Book Boutique, suspected to be caused by a firearm or air soft gun.

On Thursday afternoon, January 16, 2025, an employee discovered the damage to the Main Street store window, which police suspect may have been completed with the use of a firearm or air soft gun. It is unknown when the crime occurred.

The investigation is continuing.
