January 2, 2025, Clinton PEI – On January 1st, 2025 Prince District RCMP arrested a 73-year-old Stanley Bridge man following a single vehicle crash in Clinton that left one woman dead.
At approximately 16:30 on January 1st emergency responders attended the scene of a single vehicle crash on Route 6 in Clinton. Initial indications appear to show that an SUV failed to navigate a turn and went off the road into the ditch. A 70-year-old woman who was a passenger was pronounced deceased and a 73-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving. The driver remains in hospital with serious injuries; this investigation is ongoing. The New London Fire Department, and Island EMS assisted in this incident.
