Youth arrested for arson in Sheshatshiu, investigation continuing

Following a residential arson that occurred on September 16, 2024, a youth was arrested by Sheshatshiu RCMP. Police are continuing the investigation and are seeking information from the public.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the report of a house fire on McKenzie Drive. Upon arrival of police and firefighters, the house was fully engulfed in flames. One youth was arrested in relation to the fire.

Sheshatshiu RCMP is asking the public to report any activity that may have been witnessed at or near the McKenzie Drive home between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on September 16.

Sheshatshiu RCMP is also looking to identify and speak with the operator of a white truck in front of the home during the time of the fire.
