Yorkton RCMP STRT execute search warrant and seize cocaine

On September 12, 2024 at approximately 12:50 p.m. Yorkton RCMP's Trafficking Response Team (STRT) executed a search warrant at a residence on Dalebrooke Drive in Yorkton, SK as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Officers arrested an adult male outside the residence and adult female inside the residence.

Upon further investigation, officers seized approximately $17,000 cash, a quantity of crack cocaine and a quantity of powder cocaine from the residence.

As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Leon Bunnie and 40-year-old Dayna Isaac, both from Yorkton, are charged with the following offences:

  • one count, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 - Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code.

Bunnie and Isaac made their first appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court on September 13, 2024.
