Whitehorse RCMP investigate hit and run

On June 13th, 2024 at 8:33 am Whitehorse RCMP received a report that a vehicle struck a cyclist in the area of Rabbit's Foot Canyon, on the Alaska Highway. The vehicle did not remain at the scene of the collision. Police closed the road for investigation at Two Mile Hill and the Alaska Highway and closed at Centennial Street and the Alaska Highway with no through traffic. Multiple investigators responded in addition to a traffic collision analyst. Police know the traffic is significantly affected, and appreciate the public's patience and understanding.

Police are looking for a black Chrysler 300 vehicle or similar with front end damage. If you should see a vehicle matching this description do not approach it, please contact the police.
