On June 20, 2024 at approximately 12:00 p.m., White Butte RCMP received a report of an impaired driver at the intersection of Highway #1 and the Highway #662 overpass near Balgonie, SK.

Officers responded immediately. White Butte RCMP located the suspect vehicle in a commercial parking lot. The officers engaged their emergency lights and parked head on with the suspect vehicle to conduct a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle then drove forward, struck the police vehicle twice head on, and fled. The police vehicle was damaged. The officer driving the police vehicle was not physically injured.

For safety reasons, a tire deflation device was set up and the suspect vehicle ran over it near the intersection of Highway #362 and Highway #46. The tires were flattened and the vehicle came to a stop.

Two adult females and an adult male were arrested at the scene.
