Update Two on the Lewes River Bridge Collision

On September 16, a pickup truck pulling a trailer loaded with other vehicles went off the road before Lewes River Bridge and became submerged in the Yukon River. One occupant escaped while another remains unaccounted for. Whitehorse RCMP have been conducting extensive searches for the missing male.

Specialized RCMP divers from British Columbia RCMP's Under Water Recovery Team deployed on September 18 in an effort to search for the missing male. At the time of this release, the male has not been located. Search efforts continue. Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family during this difficult time.
