Twillingate RCMP impounds uninsured vehicle

Twillingate RCMP impounded a vehicle yesterday evening for being operated without insurance.

On December 16, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Twillingate RCMP received a report of a Honda Civic that was being operated without insurance. Police located the described vehicle in Carter's Cove and conducted a traffic stop. The driver and lone occupant of the car, a 26-year-old man, held a Novice driver's license, class 5 Level 1 (permit), which required an accompanying licenced driver. Police confirmed that the vehicle was uninsured. The car was seized and impounded and the driver was ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act for the violations.
