Traffic stop leads to charges

November 8, 2024, Montague - On November 1, 2024 at 9:30 p.m. Kings District made a targeted traffic stop in Montague and arrested a 48-year-old Kings County woman and a 38-year-old Kings County man and seized cocaine and methamphetamine.

On November 1st at 9:30 p.m. Kings District RCMP conducted a targeted traffic stop in Montague and arrested a 48-year-old Kings County Woman and a 38-year-old Kings County man who were both on conditions to have no contact with each other. Police seized approximately 24 grams of cocaine and 24 grams of what is believed to be crystal methamphetamine during the arrest. This amount of cocaine represents 77 doses and the crystal methamphetamine represents 95-474 doses. This investigation is ongoing.

Vernon Blake Wood was charged with failing to comply with a release condition and was convicted of this charge on November 7th in Georgetown Court and received a 30-day sentence.

Tracy Lynn Curran was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking condition and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. She will appear in Georgetown Provincial Court on November 21.
