Thompson RCMP investigating serious assault

On November 5, 2024, at approximately 8:30pm, Thompson RCMP received information about a male that had been admitted to hospital with serious injuries.

After further investigation, officers discovered 64-year-old Melvin Anderson was found in front of a residence on Martin Bay during the early evening of November 4, after a family member was alerted to his location.

Due to the nature of the victim's injuries, he was transferred to a hospital in Winnipeg where his condition has improved.

RCMP are seeking out any witnesses and asking anyone who may have information in relation to the assault to contact the Thompson RCMP at 204-677-6909, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or submit a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
