Thompson RCMP investigate two stabbings

On October 11, 2024, at approximately 9:00 pm, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing outside a business on Kelsey Bay in Thompson. Officers attended immediately and were able to provide first aid to the injured 33-year-old woman until Emergency Medical Services arrived.

The victim was transported to local hospital, where she remains in stable condition.

The investigation determined that a group of approximately four to six female youth were in the area and involved in the assault.

On October 11, 2024, at approximately 9:20 pm, Thompson RCMP officers were flagged down on Station Road and located a 30-year-old female injured as the result of an assault. The victim was transported to hospital, treated, and released.

Police believe the two assaults are related and officers heavily increased patrols in the area. No suspects were located. No further attacks took place.
