Stratford RCMP arrest impaired driver after roundabout crash

July 5, 2024, Stratford - On July 4th, at 6:23 p.m. Stratford RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle crash involving an SUV stopped in the middle of the road. On arrival officers learned that the SUV struck the curb of a roundabout. A 41-year-old DeSable man, was arrested for alcohol impaired driving. The driver provided samples of his breath that measured two and a half times the legal limit. No one was injured in this incident and the driver will appear in court in early August.

This arrest is one of two impaired drivers arrested yesterday by RCMP, the other was 43-year-old New Brunswick man who was stopped at a traffic stop and arrested for impaired driving by drug in Cavendish.
