As a result of the search warrant, RCMP officers seized drugs believed to be Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Psilocybin and MDMA, drug trafficking paraphernalia, unstamped cigarettes, electronics, ammunition, weapons and a large sum of Canadian currency.

A 36-year-old individual, a resident of Slave Lake, was charged with the following:

  • Selling tobacco products
  • Trafficking in property obtained by crime
  • Fail to comply with release order condition (x2)

Following a judicial hearing, the 36-year-old individual was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake, Alta., on July 24, 2024.

"This joint operation shows the importance of strong working relationships in order to disrupt individuals that may have otherwise caused greater harm to our community," says Staff Sergeant Casey Bruyns, Slave Lake Detachment Commander. "Should you notice any suspicious drug activity I encourage you to report to help with future investigations."
