Search efforts are continuing for 31-year-old Tyler Bennett who escaped lawful custody from the West Coast Correctional Centre in Stephenville on Friday, June 14, 2024.
Bennett is described as 5'8" tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has a number of tattoos, including tattoos on his face and neck. An image of Bennett is attached.
At the time of his escape, Bennett was an inmate at the West Coast Correctional Centre. He had been remanded into custody by the court in relation to a number of criminal charges.
While it is possible that Bennett is hiding in the woods, RCMP NL reminds the public that it is a criminal offence to harbour, or otherwise assist, an individual who is unlawfully at large.
