On August 2, 2024, Canora RCMP received a report of a break and enter at the municipal office in Rama, SK. Investigation determined unknown suspect(s) broke into the office and stole credit cards and a sum of cash. The break-in occurred sometime between July 28 and August 2, 2024. Canora RCMP continue to investigate.

As part of the ongoing investigation, Canora RCMP asked Saskatchewan RCMP crime analysts to see if there were other related incidents. After a thorough review of the files, it's believed this break-and-enter may be connected to other break-ins to municipal offices and small businesses in Saskatchewan over the past few years. As this is an active and ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide a list of the potentially connected incidents at this time, but can say they occurred in southern and central Saskatchewan.

A suspect has been observed at several of these break-ins and is described as a male who is over the age of 40. At the time of the break-ins, he is often seen wearing a face covering or with a hood up over his head. He is often wearing gloves.

A photo of the suspect, captured at two of these past break-ins, is attached.

If you recognize this suspect or have information about this or any other break-in, contact Canora RCMP at 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
