RCMP Traffic Services West recently conducted concentrated enforcement on the Northern Peninsula Highway (Route 430). A number of motorists were ticketed for various infractions under the Highway Traffic Act.
On Saturday, September 21, 2024, police issued 26 tickets with speeding being the most common violation. Additionally, five motorists were ticketed for passing other motorists on a solid line.
Motorists can expect to see continued enforcement efforts by RCMP Traffic Services Units throughout the province. Those who drive at excessive speeds or in an aggressive manner place themselves and all others who share the roadway at increased levels of risk.
