RCMP seeking public’s help following theft of money

The Codiac Regional RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in connection with a theft in Moncton, N.B.

The theft occurred on October 4, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., when an individual walked into a business on Mountain Road, in Moncton, and stole an undisclosed amount of money from a customer's purse, then left the store.

Police are now releasing surveillance footage photos in hopes that, despite the quality, someone may recognize an individual and vehicle of interest in connection with the theft.

The individual is described as a woman, approximately five feet, six inches (168 centimetres), medium to heavy build, with shoulder length dark hair with lighter roots. At the time of the theft, she was wearing a black mask, a light shirt under a black zip up jacket, blue jeans, and was carrying a purse. She left the business in a red four-door sedan with a sunroof.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity at the time of the incident, or who has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
