RCMP investigates vehicle-pedestrian collision

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Beaver Bank.

On September 11, at approximately 4:40 p.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Beaverbank Rd. near the intersection with Woodbine Dr. RCMP officers learned that a Mazda 6 was travelling north on the road when it collided with a youth crossing the roadway.

The youth, from Beaver Bank, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to hospital by EHS.

The driver and lone occupant of the Mazda, a 41-year-old Beaver Bank man, did not suffer physical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
