RCMP charge 25-year-old Albion Cross man with attempted murder.

Kings District RCMP with the assistance of RCMP Major Crime Unit have laid attempted murder charges on 25-year-old Owen Daniel MacDonald after a person known to him was seriously assaulted.

RCMP learned of an incident that occurred on November 28th that sent the assaulted person to hospital. After several days of investigation, police made an arrest and have charged MacDonald with the following charges:

  1. Attempted murder
  2. Aggravated assault
  3. Assault causing bodily harm
  4. Dangerous driving causing bodily harm
  5. Dangerous driving

He was held in custody and his next court appearance will be today in Georgetown. Police are not providing any further details at this time as this investigation may be subject to a publication ban.
