RCMP arrest man wanted on province-wide arrest warrants

Meteghan RCMP has safely arrested a Church Point man, who was wanted on two province-wide arrest warrants.

On July 3, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Zacharie David Jovitt Thibault, 32, attended the Meteghan RCMP detachment, where he willingly turned himself in.

He was wanted for:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
  • Operation while Impaired
  • Operation of a Conveyance 80mg% or Over
  • Uttering Threats
  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking
  • Failure to Attend Court

While in custody, RCMP officers seized a quantity of cocaine from Thibault and he was arrested for Possession of Cocaine and Failure to Comply with a Release Order.

Thibault was released on conditions by the court and is scheduled to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on September 9 to face the original charges and on September 30 to face the new charges.
