Prince District RCMP looking for public help in solving horse tail’s being cut off.

July 18, 2024, Union PEI - On July 15, 2024, Prince District RCMP responded to a report of a damaged electric fence and the cutting off of three horses' tail hair at a property in Union. The horse tails were cut on two separate occasions, the first occurred about a week prior and the second occurred over the week end of July 14th. Horse tails play a key role in protecting horse from insects, and the loss of a tail can have adverse effects. Police are asking for public information to solve this crime by calling Prince District RCMP at 902-436-9300 or PEI Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
