Update - Powerview RCMP looking for missing 26-year-old male

On November 11, 2024, the body of Christian Letander was recovered along the riverbank of the Winnipeg River in Fort Alexander.

The cause of death remains under investigation as we await the results of the autopsy.

Powerview RCMP, along with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, continue to investigate.


On November 7, 2024, at 12:20 pm, Powerview RCMP received a report of a missing 26-year-old male from Fort Alexander.

Christian James Letander, 26, was last seen in the early morning hours of November 3 on Letander Road in Fort Alexander.

Letander is described as being 5'7", 205 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a grey jacket, black Ecko sweatpants, and black Nike sneakers.

RCMP Search and Rescue are currently in the community conducting a ground search.
