A 19-year-old Burin Peninsula man is suspected of impaired driving after a single vehicle crash on February 2, 2024.
Marystown RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near Lawn just before 7:00 a.m. Police, Fewer's Ambulance from St. Lawrence and the Lawn Fire Department attended the scene of the collision, where the driver of the vehicle was injured.
The driver exhibited signs of impairment at the scene of the crash. He was transported to Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre for treatment of his injuries and exhibited further signs of impairment there. Results of a blood demand issued at the hospital will determine if impaired driving charges are to be laid.
The RCMP thanks those who report all suspected impaired drivers – doing so could save lives.
