Maidstone RCMP on scene of serious collision on Highway #17

On June 11, 2024 at approximately 11:50 a.m., Maidstone RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway #17 between 67 Street and Township Road 504, north of Lloydminster.

Officers responded immediately along with local fire and EMS. Investigation determined a truck and semi collided. The driver of the truck was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as an adult male from Lloydminster, AB. The specific age will not be released as per the family's wishes.

The driver of the semi was assessed by EMS at the scene.

Maidstone RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.

Maidstone and Lloydminster RCMP, Saskatchewan RCMP's Roving Traffic Unit, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol officers with the Provincial Protective Services Branch, Wilton Police Service, Lloydminster Rescue, Britannia Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene.
