Kings District RCMP investigating serious collision

Kings District RCMP is investigating a collision that occurred on Hwy. 221 in Lakeville, Kings County.

On May 26, at approximately 3:46 p.m., Kings District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 221 in the 6542 block. RCMP officers learned that an orange Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling east on Hwy. 221 when it collided with a white GMC Canyon truck that was pulling out of a driveway heading west.

The driver, and sole rider of the motorcycle, a 33-year-old Centreville man, was transported to hospital by EHS LifeFlight with life-threatening injuries.

The driver, and sole occupant of the truck, a 64-year-old Waterville man, was not injured.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Hwy. 221 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
