Kings District RCMP investigates serious motorcycle crash in Canning

Kings District RCMP is investigating a serious motorcycle crash that occurred in Canning.

On September 12, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Kings District RCMP, fire services, and EHS, responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Highway 221, near Pereau Rd. RCMP officers learned that a Honda motorcycle was travelling on the road when it left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch.

The rider, a 45-year-old Gaspereau Mountain man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by LifeFlight.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Highway 221 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
