Inverness County District RCMP investigating fatal motor vehicle collision

Inverness County District RCMP is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred in Creignish.

Earlier this morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Inverness County District RCMP, EHS, and fire, responded to a single-vehicle motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 19 in Creignish, Inverness. Upon arrival, RCMP officers learned that an orange 2018 Toyota Tacoma was travelling northbound on Hwy. 19 when it left the road and crashed.

The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota, a 32-year-old Port Hawkesbury man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene. Hwy. 19 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
