Igloolik, Nunavut

On June 18th, 2024, Igloolik RCMP, arrested Louie Kripanik, 23, and was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- One count of Making an obscene picture, Section 163(1) C.C
- One count of Indecent Act, Section 173(1)(b) C.C
- One count of Sexual Interference, Section 151 C.C
- One count of Choking, Section 167(c) C.C
- Two counts of Sexual Assault, Section 271 C.C
- One count of Break and Enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, Section 348(1)(a) C.C
- Three counts of Breach of Probation, Section 733.1(1) C.C
Kripanik has been remanded into custody and will have his first appearance on June 23, 2024.
This investigation is on-going. Police believe there may be additional victims in Igloolik. They are encourage to come forward and contact the RCMP at 867-934-0123.
