News release

Thirty-three-year-old Gary March was arrested by Holyrood RCMP following a residential disturbance in Avondale last night.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., Holyrood RCMP were called to a home on Barry's Island Road in Avondale. An individual inside the home was allegedly assaulted by March, who was reportedly in possession of a weapon. Approximately three hours later, shortly after 10:00 p.m., March exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident.

March is charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Assault
  • Uttering Threats
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Failing to comply with a release order – two counts

He attended court today and was remanded into custody. His next court appearance takes place on November 14, 2024.
