June 27, 2024, Slemon Park, PEI – On June 26, 2024 at shortly after 9:00 p.m. emergency crews responded to a report of a plane crash at the air field in Slemon Park.
Summerside Fire Department, Miscoushe Fire Department, EMS, RCMP and Summerside Police all responded to a report of a plane crash at Slemon Park. A non-local single engine two passenger plane went off the runway during a landing causing significant damage to the front end of the plane. No one was injured in this incident, and there was only one person on board at the time. The Transportation Safety Board has been notified of the occurrence.
