East Prince RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that took place on Route 6 in Margate PEI involving a motorcycle and pick up truck.
At approximately 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, East Prince RCMP responded to a collision on Route 6 in Margate, PEI involving a pick-up truck and a motorcycle. Initial information appears to show the motorcycle driver lost control just prior to the collision.
The driver of the motorcycle, an 18-year-old man from Prince County, PEI was pronounced deceased at the scene, no one else was injured in this collision.
An RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist along with Island EMS, Kensington Police Service, and Kensington Fire Department also responded to the incident. Provincial Highway Safety was also called to assist with maintaining the road closure.
